What electrical work do you handle?

We handle light electrical: replacing light fixtures and ceiling fans on existing rated boxes, swapping switches and outlets (including GFCI), installing dimmers and smart switches, and LED retrofits — all on existing wiring.

What electrical work do you NOT do?

As a light handyman we do not add new circuits, change or upgrade panels, run new wiring, or do any work that requires an electrical permit. Those jobs are referred to a licensed electrician.

Are you a licensed electrician?

B Frye is a light-handyman service, not a licensed electrical contractor. We stick to safe, fixture- and device-level swaps on existing circuits and refer larger or permit-required work to a licensed electrician.

Can you install a ceiling fan?

Yes, when there is an existing fan-rated electrical box. We remove the old fixture or fan, mount and wire the new fan, balance it, and test all speeds and the light kit.

How much does a fixture or switch swap cost?

Most swaps start from our $129 minimum, which covers travel, prep, and the first 1.5 hours. Additional or combined work runs at $79/hr. A $75 trip charge applies only outside the core service area.

Can you install smart switches and dimmers?

Yes. On compatible existing wiring we can replace standard switches with dimmers or Wi-Fi/smart switches, and confirm they operate correctly before we finish.
